2026 UPLIFT Development Foundation Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening
This year, our annual free screening exercise reached 655 women, checking for breast and cervical cancers and identifying those who need further care.
- Total of 655 were screened for breast and cervical cancers
- 81 suspicious cervix recorded that will require further pap smear for definitive diagnosis
- 56 women had issues with the breast
- 50 breast lumps
- 2 breast cancers
- 3 breast pain
Those requiring lumpectomies will be contacted and the date of surgery will be conveyed to them directly – cost to be covered by His Excellency Senator Ibikunle Amosun and actioned through UPLIFT in the usual manner.
